IGOR LARIONOV SELECTS CANADIAN ICEWINE FOR RUSSIAN MARKET 

Toronto , Ontario Canada , January 21, 2009 – Three-time Stanley Cup winner Igor Larionov launched his newest IL Triple Overtime Wine, the “Centre Ice” Canadian Vidal Icewine on the weekend of his inauguration to the Hockey Hall of Fame.  Igor Larionov presented his new Icewine to a select group of wine enthusiasts, wine writers, sommeliers, and hockey players at a private wine tasting at the King Edward Hotel in Toronto .  The Canadian Vidal Icewine, made by award winning Icewine maker Pillitteri Estates Winery, will be available in Russia in the New Year. <more>

Dan Aykroyd Collects More Gold with the 2006 Discovery Collection

The new Dan Aykroyd Wines set the bar highest when his 2005 Vidal Signature Series Vidal Icewine won Wine of the Year and a Gold Medal at the 2008 Ontario Wine Awards.  Dan's Icewine debuted to a select crowd in Moscow at the Canadian Embassy.  See the Passport Magazine article of the launch of the Dan Aykroyd's wine in Russia here. 

Now with the release of the four wines in the 2006 Dan Aykroyd Discovery Series, Dan repeats with Gold for the 2006 Sauvignon Blanc and Bronze with the 2006 Cabernet Shiraz Discovery Wines, chosen from among 1045 entries in the the All Canadian Wine Championships.
